“If you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life.”- Marc Anthony. My path to dermatology started as a patient. This major event has made a big impact in my life. From 2017 to 2018, I had moderate to severe nodular cystic acne. It's difficult to put into words how self-conscious and discouraged my acne made me feel. I've had direct experience with something so draining and daunting, and I'd never wish it on anyone, and I know I'd love to help others take better care of their skin. It's more than just about appearances; it's about self-assurance. Due to my results from the survey, my interests align perfectly with the dermatology career.

Dermatologists are doctors that specialize in treating skin disorders as well as some hair and skin problems. The work might range from simple assessments to surgical procedures, depending on the patient's needs. Dermatologists not only cure basic skin problems like blemishes and aging, but they can effectively diagnose and treat skin cancer as well as many other severe and persistent skin conditions. Dermatologists may do activities such as inspecting clients, performing experiments, and educating people on skin care. They're usually well-versed in medicines, ointments, and hormone medications, and they frequently prescribe topical and oral therapies for skin disorders. Diagnostic tests, laser therapy, peels, and operations are among the operations they conduct. These tasks and descriptions of what dermatologists do and who they are, exactly match my interests.

The dermatology career is one of the best career choices you could ever possibly make. Dermatologists believe that the specialty's variety, adaptability, and visual aspect are among its pleasures, according to board-certified dermatologists, dermatology is among the most fulfilling medical specialties to practice. While some doctors work lengthy and irregular hours, dermatologists usually work regular, flexible work hours. Although individual work hours may vary by profession, you may be able to work forty hours a week as a dermatologist. Dermatologists frequently work a consistent schedule with regular hours because their patients' skin ailments aren't always time-sensitive. This may enable you to achieve a healthy work-life harmony, pursue other interests, and enjoy more time with family members. Dermatology aims at helping people, which some people might consider satisfying. Skin treatments can help prevent serious disease, alleviate irritation and inflammation, and reduce the obvious effects of aging. Your treatments may also boost your patients' self-esteem and wellbeing. Knowing that your work improves the lives of your clients might create a feeling of achievement towards certain individuals.

Dermatology is a medical and surgical speciality that deals with illnesses of the hair, skin, and nails. Skin may appear to be simple, but it is a lot more intricate than it appears. A dermatologist can diagnose and treat over 3,000 different illnesses, including dermatitis, psoriasis, and melanoma. Dermatology is a visual field with a high clinic volume that moves at a faster pace than other specialties. It's also a field that combines medical and procedural components, which appeals to anyone who wants to maintain contact with patients while also executing precise treatments. I already knew this was the right path for me, and the survey only confirmed that.
