The Monroe doctrine is a document created by President Monroe James (March 4, 1817 – March 4, 1825). The Monroe doctrine or The U.S foreign policy is a document that “the American continents, by the free and independent condition which they have assumed and maintain, are henceforth not to be considered as subjects for future colonization by any European powers”.The Monroe doctrine was created by James Monroe by with help from Thomas Jefferson and with both of them working together it was created and published on December 2, 1823.

The Monroe doctrine helps change the U.S foreign policy by telling the world that we’re an independent country and it changes how the European country looked at us; the Monroe doctrine help change the U.S foreign policy by declaring freedom from the European country, protecting the western hemisphere, and helping Latin America. On the other hand, the Monroe doctrine might have favored isolationism because it limited our affairs with the European nations. However, it helped us gain respect from the European country also if the Monroe doctrine was favoring isolationism why are we now involved in almost everything that occurs around the world.

When the Monroe doctrine was addressed it was written to keep the European away without knowing that it was more of a declaration telling the world that America was its own independent Nation. The Monroe doctrine changed the U.S foreign policy by addressing how the U.S thinks of other nations as allies. This doctrine change a lot about the U.S but by changing it was for the new thing. A new thing that it made way for would be the mixture of religions and holiday because St. Patricks day was brought to the U.S by the Irish Immigrant who came because of the potato famine, because of Monroe doctrine many Immigrants saw the U.S as a place where once you are here you are free to be from to do things you aren’t able to do in our homeland.

The Monroe doctrine protects the western hemisphere form the world but today it doesn't matter anymore because every Nation is now advanced and know how to take care of themselves. The Monroe doctrine helped build the Latin America nations because it helped protect them from European colonization. Because it helps build a nation the Monroe doctrine change the U.S foreign policy by changing how the U.S thinks of other Nation and how we Influence in other nations problems or actions.
