Do you want to live a long and healthy life? Do you want to be rich? Do you want to live a life of fulfillment? (Parallelism) If you answered yes to all three questions, marriage is for you. Marriage was established between one woman and one man in 2350 B.C in a large village called Mesopotamia. (Logos) Most marriages were loveless, as they were arranged by their families to gain wealth. The original purpose of marriage was for men to belittle women and make them their housewives. Women were subservient to men and obeyed commands given to them. The women did not have control over their identity along with not making decisions without consulting with their husbands. 

Marriage can have different effects on your health positively. Couples that choose to marry tend to have loving relationships.  They spend time with others and are very seldom alone.  Hence, a married person is less likely to be depressed or have pneumonia. (Pathos) According to New York Times Magazine (Source)“Married people seem to live longer and healthier lives.”  If you want to live a stress-free life, healthy life, and long life; (Repetition) then you should get married.  Marriage will afford you the satisfaction that you are pursuing.

Marriage provides an opportunity to gain wealth. According to City Journal Magazine (Source)“Married couples not only make more money, but they also manage money better and build more wealth together than either would alone.” Married couples received more money because they worked together as a team; they compromise both of their needs and plan to set up a healthy home, not only by themselves but together. They have set goals to acquire wealth and security for the future. As a result, marriage is a very productive outcome for people’s lives to be enriched.

It is often argued that marriage is an outdated concept. (Concessions) Marriage is like a rollercoaster. (Simile) Considering the many obstacles married couples face, it’s understandable that many people would be anxious to pursue a relationship. However, that point is not important because marriage is one of the most beautiful stages you can experience in life. (Rebuttal) Being married lets you get out of your comfort zone and experience new things that you may have been reluctant to.
