Many people believe that video games are the cause for violence in younger people, but in fact, don't realize that the exposure to television and social media are a much bigger factor than video games are. When you think of anger and violence being tied into video games you would think of bloody and brutal games such as ‘Mortal Combat’ or ‘Grand Theft Auto 5’. But, I myself have been enraged by a simple game like ‘Angry Birds When not meeting an objective. Which shows that the game itself isn't the problem, it's the person themselves. This is why video games do not cause violence.

My second reason that video games are more beneficial than bad is that the new mainstream world we live in is full of new jobs and opportunities. With these new opportunities people are getting scholarships to colleges and are making much more than minimum wage at just 15 and being able to support themselves and their family more than ever. A good example of this is Bugha’ or Kyle Giersdorf who had one more 3 million dollars in the “Fortnite World Cup” back in 2019. This shows that video games are now becoming a job and are being able to go to school because of their talent with video games.

My final reason that video games are better or worse is that video games have a large handful of skills you can improve and learn from playing like ;Memory, Spatial visualization, decision making, critical thinking, problem solving, and more. Now to reply and counteract this claim, Video games have been the main blame for many years when violence in young people occurs but don't realize that the person themselves in these acts is to blame and should not be put on games.These claims are very common but although they sound true there is no correlation or evidence connecting the two whatsoever.

Now that we have learned video games don't cause violence since no hard evidence has been found, can be a source of income and education, and improve many skills about a person everyday life we can now say that video are helpful.To make a change about the claims and “myths' ' of video games being harmful is to do your own research and see that so many people's lives are improved and made better by video games. Since they don't only make people happy they are some people's only ways to get through depression or anxiety.
