How to Choose the Right High School Essay Example

Choosing a high school is a big decision, one that must not be taken gingerly. In order to choose your ideal high school, you must first ask yourself some fundamental questions. Would I incline towards a larger or smaller school? Private or public? How much money would I like to spend? And finally, am I happy at the school? This becomes apparent as you compare high schools such as Agnes Irwin, Radnor High School, and Notre Dame. Each and every one of these schools is different, and each one fits with different criteria. Therefore, choosing the right high school is an important decision, so you must follow the right decision-making process. 

To begin, Agnes Irwin is very different from schools like Notre Dame, but how would you know this? Well, the answer lies in the questions you must ask. Would you like a larger or smaller school? If you would prefer smaller, you're on the right track! AIS is a relatively small school, but keep in mind that it is a Pre-K through 12th-grade school, so there are other students. But, if you prefer a bigger school, maybe you should consider Radnor or Notre Dame.

Now, you must ask yourself another essential question: would you prefer a private or public school? If you prefer public school, Radnor would be a better fit. But, if you prefer a private school, AIS is still the school for you. Though it is not religious, AIS is a private school. Still prefer Agnes Irwin? Ask yourself this: how much money are you willing to pay for your education? Agnes Irwin costs about $38,000 a year, and if you’re willing to pay it, congrats! You almost have your high school chosen. Not willing to pay this money? You might want to go to Radnor or Notre Dame. Finally, you must ask yourself the most important question: is this school for me? If the answer is yes, AIS is the school for you. But if the answer is no, there's always other schools like Radnor and Notre Dame. If you are willing to pay a larger sum of money, would like a small(er) school, prefer private education, and overall like the school, AIS is the school for you.

Additionally, Radnor High School is unlike NDA and AIS but is the best fit for some people. One of those people may be you, and you can find out by asking yourself 4 essential questions. First, ask: would I prefer a smaller or larger school? If you would prefer a larger school, so far, RHS is the school for you. But, if you would prefer a smaller school, AIS could be a better fit. Once you’ve determined the preferred size of your school, question if you would prefer a public or private school? If you would favor public, Radnor may be your high school! But, if private was your answer, AIS or NDA might be a better school for you. After you’ve questioned these aspects, ask yourself: how much am I willing to pay?

Radnor is free in the sense that you don't pay more money than you already do, but if you firmly believe in going to a private school, than Agnes Irwin or Notre Dame might better fit. Finally, ask yourself: do I like the school? If the answer is yes, CONGRATS! You’ve picked your high school. But if the answer is no, maybe you should consider another school. If you fit in better at a bigger school, want the experience of a public school, are not willing to pay more money than you already do, and like the school, Radnor fits best.

Finally, Notre Dame differentiates from schools like Agnes Irwin and Radnor. But, once again, how would you know this? If you think the answer is asking yourself important questions, you're right! Begin by asking yourself this: would you like a larger or smaller school? Notre Dame is a larger school, so if you’re not really into going to a big school, AIS might be a better fit. But, if you would prefer a larger school, Notre Dame could be a good fit. Once you’ve determined whether you want a private or public school, ask this: would I prefer a bigger or smaller school? If the answer is larger, NDA is probably a good fit. If the answer is no, Agnes Irwin might be the better school for you. Now, ask this: how much am I willing to pay?

Notre Dame costs around $25,275 a year, which is less than AIS. So, if $25,275 fits your budget, NDA is presumably a good school for you. But, if you would rather go to school for ‘free,’ Radnor is a better fit. Finally, ask yourself this: do you like the school? If the answer is yes, you’ve found your fit! But, if you haven’t, there is always other schools, such as Agnes Irwin and Radnor. If you prefer a big(er) private school, would like to pay a medium sum of money for your education, and like the school, Notre Dame is the school for you.

As you can see, there are 4 essential questions you must ask yourself in order to choose the right high school for you. This becomes obvious as you examine all of your choices, including Radnor, Notre Dame, and Agnes Irwin. Though there are many other factors in choosing the right high school for you, these questions, (in my opinion) are highly important. Selecting the adequate high school is a crucial decision, thus, you must follow the right decision-making process.
