Since the period of the bubonic plague in the 1400s, there has been a steady increase in the population. Between the period of the catastrophe and the twenty-first century, there have been hundreds of thousands of wars, physical disasters, and man-made risks, but none of these have changed a thing in the population. Developing countries face this population issue more than developed countries, but it affects the majority of the world today. When we discuss overpopulation, we must first consider the problems that come with it. Because overpopulation is linked to a variety of social issues such as homelessness, pollution, food scarcity, and deforestation, the government must begin to publicize family planning.

Overpopulation is a major problem in practically every country since it raises unemployment rates, emigration rates, and other factors that hurt the economy.Overpopulation is caused by poverty. Poverty is defined as the inability to meet basic necessities such as food, clothing, and shelter, furthermore it costs the economy 1.3 percent of its GDP.("Will Overpopulation Lead to a Public Health Catastrophe?")

Overpopulation also contributes to a global lack of schooling, which leads to increased birth rates and significant population booms in impoverished areas.("Bish").

Experts say that population x affluence x technology = Impact on the environment ("Seeker").

In a packed environment, inhabitants may have limited or no access to transportation, water, shelter, and food. As the climate changes, so will the environment as a result of the modification of habitats. There's a higher chance of infection spreading since disease-carrying creatures come into contact with people constantly.("Will Overpopulation Lead to a Public Health Catastrophe?") 

Overpopulation also causes pandemics and huge-scale catastrophes like COVID-19,spanish flue etc. With more humans being born, the more dense populations become, and that causes diseases to spread effortlessly. ("Human overpopulation.") 

A few specialists in overpopulation say that "Currently, 500 million women in the developing world are using some form of family planning, thereby preventing 187 million unintended pregnancies, 60 million unplanned births, 105 million induced abortions, 2.7 million infant deaths, 215,000 maternal deaths, and 685,000 children from losing their mothers due to pregnancy-related deaths each year." This is why the government needs to begin advancing education, family planning, and spreading awareness about overpopulation and its impacts among individuals. If people don’t take action now, there is a greater chance of pandemics, a global lack of schooling, and limited access to hospitals and medical care centers.
