Essay Sample on Pollution

The most significant effect that people have on the environment is pollution. Pollution is a big problem for our health and the environment. Pollution is created when industries dispose of waste into the air with smoke. There are two types of pollution one is visible air pollution and the other is invisible air pollution. 

Burning fossils like coal and petroleum release chemicals into the air which makes the air filled with chemicals. Another way the air gets polluted is by cars. Cars you carbon monoxide which is a colorless and odorless gas. It is formed by cars burning natural gas. We rely on these fossil fuels to survive a whole day but if we keep using them our earth will become very polluted. This can also cause lung cancer.

On the other hand people would say how is everyone going to get to work if they aren't allowed to use their gas powered car I would say that you should be able to trade in your car that is gas powered for an electric car. Some people might also say we can just wear gas masks but I say if we have to use gas masks what if there  people that can't afford them. A gas mask could cost you anywhere from $150-$200 there is also going to be supply and demand so a gas mask might cost you even more than $200.

If pollution keeps ongoing then we all have a shorter life because of all the dangerous chemicals. Some of the dangerous chemicals that could be in our air are carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide. Also, some of the babies that were born that year could live a shorter life.

In conclusion, we need to change the way life works before pollution gets even worse. We can do this by lowering car usage and conserving energy by turning off lights when you are not using them. We need to start to understand the concept of recycling, reuse, and recycling. We can use clean energy like solar power and wind power.
