Artificial Intelligence will help with military operations such as cyber security, targeting/vision, and ISR. Artificial Intelligence can also aid the military with many other assets. Artificial Intelligence is still developing and also has its disadvantages so the use of AI isn’t implemented nearly as much as it could.

Artificial Intelligence can improve cyber security because AI can detect, evaluate, and respond to cyber-attack efficiently and faster than humans. Artificial Intelligence having the capabilities to assess the threats at incredible speed will also help us identify the types of attacks which could help us defend against the same attacks easier if they should ever occur again. Artificial Intelligence is also a products that is a knowledge based system meaning can adapt to situations this will also help with cyber-attacks. Artificial Intelligence is also able to evaluate the type of threat that is taking place which will help us understand the severity of the threat. Implementing Artificial Intelligence in cyber security has its disadvantages because hackers could use AI in their hacking tools which could help them break into AI technologies easier. Artificial Intelligence could improve cyber security but it isn’t impervious.

Artificial Intelligence can also be implemented into targeting and vision assets which will help us with recognize targets. Artificial Intelligence can be used with other assets that we use for targeting such as cameras which could help us in counter terrorism. Artificial Intelligence could be implemented in intelligence, surveillance reconnaissance assets. Artificial Intelligence could be used in information collection assets that are used by the military. Information collection assets collect mass amounts of information which artificial intelligence could analyze and sort through these mass amounts of information more efficiently than humans could. Artificial Intelligence sorting out these mass amounts of data that humans wouldn’t be able to would help analysts by giving them the relevant and more sufficient information they need from these vast amounts of information. Artificial Intelligence because of the capability is has being and adaptable system would also be able to pick up algorithms and patterns that humans might possibly miss. Artificial Intelligence could be used in ISR but to use AI this way you would have to make sure the computing technologies have the capabilities for AI to be fully utilized.

Artificial Intelligence could be used in a numerous of ways other than the ones I’ve mentioned these are just some of the few ways AI could be utilized in military operation and defense.
