War was inevitable between the North and the South because of multiple disagreements and acts that caused the two territories to hate each other. Specifically, the Abolitionists Movement, diverse economies, and the California Dilemma.

The Abolitionists Movement was the attempt to end slavery. There were many things that contributed in the Abolitionists Movement such as writings, the Underground Railroad, Slave Revolts, etc. The Underground Railroad was a route taken by runaway slaves to escape to the North and get to safe territory away from slavery. However, this was very dangerous because if any slave was caught trying to escape, there would be major consequences following up this action. Slave revolts also contributed to the Abolitionists movement. For example, Nat Turner’s Rebellion was was a slave rebellion that took place in Southampton County, in Virginia, in August 1831, led by Nat Turner. Rebel slaves killed from 55 to 65 people, at least 51 being white. All in all, the Abolitionists Movement contributed to making war inevitable between the North And South.

Diverse economies made war inevitable between the North and the South. This was because many economies had a different way of running themselves throughout the United States during the time period of Slavery. For example, the North was all about industry and making money, and the South was all about slavery. Since the North had more intake of money it caused the south to hate them more and more due to the fact that so many slaves wanted to escape and make their way to the North for better living conditions, and better lives overall.

The California Dilemma made war inevitable between the North and the South. This was because California was still considered to be a slave state in the South. However, the Compromise of 1850 issued that California would become a free state. This angered the South and left them belligerently beside themselves.

To conclude, the Civil War was bound to happen between the North and the South specifically because of the Abolitionists Movement, diverse economies, and the California Dilemma. These three events caused the North and the South to despise each other, which eventually led to the outcome of the Civil War from April 12, 1861 to April 9, 1865.
