Essay Example: Is Fast Food Healthier in Sweden Than in the USA

Have you ever wondered if fast food is healthier in Sweden than in the USA?Many of you may think that the fast food is consumed exactly as much in every country. Well that isn't the case. 

In USA people eat very much fast food as we all know, but are they eating more fast food than Sweden? That’s the question. A normal person in the USA eats about six thousand calories per day. Meanwhile a Swedish person eats around two to three thousand calories. That means that a American person eats twice as much the amount that a Swedish person eats everyday. 

The sizes of the fast food changes, depending on the place.  For example McDonald's portions in the USA are larger than in Sweden. In a regular meal you get half as much food than you get in Sweden. I believe this is wrong because they should have a good amount of food that is enough for one person. And if they do that more people from the USA would not be as obese.  

The prices are different in Sweden and the USA. As an example I took up before McDonald's is a very large fast food company and have many different restaurants around the world. And with that comes many different prices. At McDonald's in the USA a meal costs around 5 dollars. And in Sweden a meal costs around 7 dollars. The prices can be a problem because In the USA fast food costs much less than here in Sweden. I belive the low prices makes many stressed americans This makes the people in USA buy more unhealthy food, because of the fact it does not effect their economy as much as it does in Sweden. Of course Swedes eat fast food but I do not believe they do it as much as they do in the USA, and in long term it would not be great for both country's economics. 

In conclusion we can clearly see that USA eats more fast food than Sweden. And that they get more food for less money. And that makes more Americans eat fast food more often.
