Discovery of Electricity Essay Sample

Since the existence of humans, there have been many smart people who come up with amazing ideas and inventions as time went on to make our lives easier. One of the most important inventions in my opinion would be electricity. For some people, including me, it’s hard to look back on the ancient days and imagine our lives without electricity. These days electricity has helped our society have more flexibility at work, improved our communication skills, and impacted our lifestyles at home. Nowadays, after the discovery of electricity, the lives of humans have become much easier than before. 

The discovery of electricity has changed the productivity in workspaces. For example, there are now safer and more efficient tools in today’s society than there were back then. Electricity encourages longer work days because people no longer have to rely on the time of day in which the sun went down. Jobs could operate around the clock and get a handful of work done. In which helped produce more goods or get more work done faster and more efficiently. 

Electricity improved our society in the way people could communicate with one another. People started out with telegraphs which allowed speedy delivery of information, which transferred to telephones allowing direct communication. Then electric powered radios and television were developed and had a huge impact on society. The society could now learn news from all around the world even from just laying on their couch at home. After all these inventions, people were left with enjoyment and entertainment. 

Electricity impacted the way people lived at home. For starters, cooking became easier with the invention of cooking appliances. Over all, electric powered tools saved much more time and were easier to operate. For example vacuums, dishwashers, etc. saved people much more time in the house. The invention of electric razors, curling irons, and other small appliances reduced the time needed for self care. 

Today, much of the world is very dependent on electricity. Electricity has allowed for more flexibility at work, improved our communication, and impacted our lifestyles at home. Although there are many more examples of how electricity helped shift and make our society, these are just a few examples.
