Did you know that Rosa Parks was altruistic? Rosa Parks was one of the many heroes that impacted the world in a very positive way. This is because of the heroic deeds she did to inspire others. One of the most famous deeds she did was refusing to give up her seat to a white person, which led to her arrest. While she was a civil rights activist, she sparked inspiration in others and other activists.

Although with the many rumors of why Rosa Parks didn’t give up her seat , some are still being brought up commonly, though there is a much simpler reason for her actions. Let’s start with what Rosa Parks states in her autobiography, she says that she wasn’t tired at all. “The only tired I was, was tired of giving in” stated Rosa. This was said by Rosa  while talking about her arrest, the arrest that caused a lot of movement within the community of people of color. The famous act of not giving up her seat. Rosa knows that people said she didn’t give up her seat because she was old, or because she was tired from a long day at work. Rosa stated that she was only 42 at the time, and was no more tired than a normal day at work. Though she may think that standing up for yourself like that is common sense, what she did at that time put her life and family at risk, and a big move that most people couldn’t do at that time. There were people like that before Rosa, but their situation did not end the same way. The media was looking for someone that had done this action, but the previous people didn't give the perfect image, or just did not qualify due to things they said or did.

Rosa Parks did a lot for the civil rights movement, while putting her life, work and other valuable things at risk. With Rosa's help and actions, people organized the Montgomery bus boycott. This boycott lasted 381 days, which was led by the young MLK. A while after this boycott ended, the policy for the buses was removed. Nobody had to give up their seats for someone else, and no matter who you were. Concluding her actions, Rosa became a nationally recognized symbol of dignity and strength for the next half century. This was a lot of the civil rights movement, and with Rosa's help, it was like a weight off their shoulders. In the end, with the many risks that Rosa had taken, she moved on and did great for the world. She has lots of qualities of a hero like putting others before herself, standing up for what she believes in, caring about others, and believing that everyone is equal.

Have you ever thought about how many people Parks was the hero of, and how brave her actions in the civil right movement were? All things considered, there is a lot to think about in this topic. From how Rosa stood up in what she believed in, to inspiring many others to do the same. The starting of the boycott after her arrest was also a big move. In conclusion,  Rosa's actions impacted  the world in a positive way. People sometimes consider Rosa as a super famous hero, but have you ever thought about how some people take Parks as a personal hero? She can be both types of heroes, which is something that is not commonly seen in most people. There’s a lot of people now that were kids back then, that are to this day grateful for what Rosa did when they were younger.  Now with this, you can show how Rosa was a hero to many many people, and the positive impact she had on people's lives and ways of living. Now have you ever thought about this yourself, what does it mean to be a hero?
