Did you know in the U.S since 2010 depression symptoms have increased by 33 percent due to technology/smartphones? That means that technology can be bad for society, but it can make life more simple. Technology is bad for society because it can make us distracted from what is most important to us.

First of all, in “The Biometric Body" by Kathiann M. Kowalsikithe, the biometric system needs more improvement before we can trust it more. According to the author, “The (AFIS) mistakenly linked his fingerprint record with one found near a bombing scene.” (Kowalski,263). The Biometric system isn’t perfect. We can’t always depend on technology to solve problems.

However, in  “Top 5 Benefits of Technology in the Classroom technology creates “ technology creates a more engaging environment. According to the article it says “You may think technology is just a distraction, but it can help encourage active participation in your classroom. Using devices like a computer, tablet, or other types of technology in your classroom can help turn traditionally dull subjects into interactive and fun activities.” (no author,1). It is a distraction because you can play games on it and also lose focus when you have technology.

Additionally, in “Biometrics Are Not Better" by Rueben Lorre passwords might be safer than biometrics. To make this point,  “These biometric breaches pose a much more serious threat than password theft. What seems like an advantage turns out to be a huge weakness. If your password is hacked, you can easily change it. But if your biometric data is stolen, what are your choices? You can’t replace your fingerprints, your eyes, or any of your biometric data.” (103,Lorre). Biometrics sometimes may not be as safe as passwords so if we rely on Biometrics too much it might be easier to hack than passwords.
