What would you do if a beloved family member were to suffer a heart attack? Instead of panicking, the best thing to do in this 

this  situation is to remain calm and perform CPR. 

Around 800,000 people per YEAR suffer heart attacks, and that's JUST in the US.In the following paragraphs you will learn the importance of CPR, when to do it, and most importantly HOW to do it.

But, before we learn HOW to do CPR, we must learn its crucial importance in saving lives. CPR is important in saving 40% of lives. According to the Emergency Medical Journal,the survival rate outside of hospitals is 24%- 40%. However, inside the hospital is between 19-75.Furthermore, it’s also noted that cardiac arrest happens at home more than other places, which only exceeds its importance because it can happen when least expected. In fact, 88% of heart attacks happen at home.

Now we must discuss, when is CPR needed, it’s a critical way to ensure that the person is in need of life saving

To tell if breathing, place hand under nose and if you feel air they're breathing, however if the air coming out of their nose is spontaneous, they still could be in need of CPR.Additionally it's important to tell if the heart has stopped beating.You can either feel the pulse on the neck, or wrist.The normal bpm of a heart should be 60-100 beats per minute. If the person you are performing CPR on has anything less (and sometimes higher) than that you should see a sign to start performing.Saving the most important part for last is how to do CPR.

Call 911, the authorities will give you extra help in performing CPR.Next, check for breathing, as shown previously you can tell if a person is in need of CPR.

Place hands in center of chest and start pushing down and hard.Maintain the rhythm of 100-120 Beats per minute. If you can put on a metronome that would be even better.Proceed with any tips the operator gives you.

So now, if a loved one were to suffer a heart attack.You would be able to detect and perform CPR.
