The American Dream was created many years ago when Europeans traveled across the Atlantic to settle in America. It can be interpreted in different ways . Some people think of it as having the nicest car, and the most money. While others think of it as having the same opportunities as everyone else,  and living a happy life with their families. While trying to achieve this, there are many challenges people face. Having the hope and motivation to have that happy life can be tough, and getting opportunities to attain that can also be hard. The American Dream is still possible if we all work together to make America better and stronger. Working together we can continue to grow America to the fullest by working together to make things equal , safe, and happy for the  American Dream to still be possible.

For the American dream to still be possible, we have to have control over America. If all of America doesnt work for it there will be no change. For the dream to still be possible “ We must all work together, no longer to build bigger , but to build better.” ( Truslow 33,34) To grow to the fullest advancement as humans and to grow America to its fullest glory, we have to work together to achieve that. Without working for it we won’t get anywhere. For the people on top they need to continue to strive “ and those who are below in the scale have got to strive to rise, not merely economically, but culturally.” ( Truslow 25,26)  Growing not only economically , but also culturally can help us start the journey to the dream and the fortunate helping the less fortunate creates peace within Americans.

To change America we need to be making the changes now. Right now we are all making decisions that will affect the future “ while the future of the American vision is somewhat up for grabs, a new “ American dream” increasingly fills the hearts and minds of America's leaders, and under their influence, the majority of the citizenry as well.” (Moore 2) Only the future knows how America will change, and we have to make adjustments now for a better future. Some may think the American Dream is about having the nicest car, or the nicest house when really “ The American Dream is about a basic optimism that the future will be better than the past , that anyone in America , no matter what their income level….. or what their skin color is, can succeed.” (Moore 2)

To be doubtful and uncertain of the future won’t be motivating for a change. Making the future better than the past, and freedom for all is what we want to accomplish.

Although we can begin a change for America for the better, there are still aspects going on now that could be damaging for America in the future. People are getting suppressed in debts due to student loans , credit card debt , and unemployment. (“The American Pipe Dream with attached mirage” cartoon) Americans are getting held back in debt and it’s keeping them a nice house with a white picket fence , nice cars, and a family. Even with a lot of money for those things people are missing something “ life can be a lot broader than that when you realize one simple thing, and that is that everything around us that we call life was made up by people who are no smarter than you, and you can build your own things, you can build your own life that other people can live in.” (Kutcher) You can build your own life. It doesn't matter how much money you make or your status in life is what you make it.

Working together we can continue to grow America to the fullest by working together to make things equal , safe, and happy for the American Dream to still be possible. We can start the change now by working together to build a better future and to achieve the American Dream. You live your own life, so live your life to the fullest.
