First, gather the necessary ingredients needed for the crust: 1¾ cups of graham cracker crumbs (about 28 squares), ¼ cup of packed brown sugar, and ½ cup of melted butter. Next, gather the ingredients needed for the filling: three (3) packages (8 oz each) of cream cheese, softened, three (3) large eggs, ¾ cup of whipping cream, and ¼ cup of caramel-flavored coffee syrup. Lastly, gather the ingredients needed for the caramel sauce: ⅓ cup of butter, 1¼ cups packed brown sugar, two (2) tablespoons of caramel flavored coffee syrup, ½ cup of whipping cream, and 1½ teaspoons of flaked sea salt. Following gathering your ingredients you need to make sure you have the essential cooking utensils as follows: an oven, 9-inch springform pan, heavy-duty aluminum foil, small and large mixing bowl, electric mixer, small metal spatula, and a 2-quart saucepan. Now that you have all the necessary ingredients and cooking materials it's time to start baking!

Begin by preheating the oven to 350℉. Warp the outside bottom and sides of the 9-inch springform pan with the heavy-duty aluminum foil, to prevent from leaking. After, grease the inside bottom and sides of the pan with shortening (Type of fat used in baking). Grab the small mixing bowl and mix the 1¾ cups of graham cracker crumbs, ¼ packed brown sugar, and ½ cup of melted butter (ingredients for crust). After mixing all crust ingredients together, take the mixture and pack and press it into the bottom of the springform pan. Bake 8 to 10 minutes until set; then reduce the oven temperature to 300℉ and let the crust cool for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, in the large mixing bowl, beat the 8oz package of cream cheese and one (1) cup brown sugar together using the electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Next, beat the eggs, one at a time, until they are completely blended. Then add ¾ cup of whipping cream and ¼ cup of coffee syrup and beat until blended. Finally, pour the filling over the top of the crust.

Next, bake at 300℉ for 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes or until the edges of the cheesecake are at least two (2) inches from the top of the pan, make sure the center of the cheesecake slightly has a jiggle to it. Afterward, turn off the oven and open the door approximately four (4) inches, then let the cheesecake stay in the oven for a remaining 30 minutes. Take the small metal spatula and go around the inside edges of the pan to loosen the cheesecake. Lastly, let the cheesecake cool in the pan on a cooling rack for 30 minutes, then refrigerate for six (6) hours or overnight.

Finally, in the 2-quart saucepan, melt ½ cup of butter over medium heat, then add 1¼ cups of the brown sugar and two tablespoons of coffee syrup. Keep the heat the same until it comes to a boil, then stir continuously for 1 minute or until the sugar is completely dissolved. Lastly, stir in the ½ cup of the whipping cream and then return to a boil. Once it starts boiling, remove the pan from the heat and let cool for at least 10 minutes. Now you’re ready to eat, cut the cheesecake into slices and drizzle the caramel sauce on top with a dab of salt! Now you’ve got it, your very own homemade salted caramel cheesecake!

Like any kind of dessert that has been made to perfection take time, energy, and a little of sweat too. Yet, that has shown to pay off tremendously. Cheesecake is the 10th most popular dessert in America today. Though it may take up most of your day to make clearly Americans have shown its worth your time and it's never a waste.
