What would it be like if people didn’t go to college? To learn to do certain things that pertain to their jobs. What would it be like if we lived in a world where no one talked to each other, and no one could understand what you were trying to say? How about if we lived in a world where knew what to do, we wouldn’t be advanced in society and we would still be acting like caveman overly excited about finally seeing a fire. That would be bad, wouldn’t it? Well, if you can improve on those things, you will become an outstanding person, living by these three concepts: Beng able to communicate effectively, having skills for life, and being keen to learn whenever the opportunity arises.

Being able to communicate effectively is important for several reasons. One reason is the aspect of getting a job. Many jobs require their employees to go through an interview. This process is important because it allows the employer to get to know you better. The interview will either raise or lower your chance of getting the job you want. Being able to communicate effectively during the interview will raise your chances of acquiring the desired occupation. For example, Gerard Danford, published writer, says, “Google look at not just smarts but; problem-solving ability, curiosity, and ability to learn. You are much better off hiring someone who can learn than somebody who knows what they are doing (the learner can figure it out).” If you’re able to answer all the questions correctly, you have a high chance of working for Google. This shows how communication can help you become a successful, well-rounded person.

Lifelong learning is important for people to keep their minds as sharp as possible. This can help you in many ways such as staying a doctor, visiting monuments and many more.  Being a doctor requires you to be a lifelong learner. Doctors are required to take a MOC (maintenance of certification) Every five years after they become a doctor. This requires you to learn for the rest of your career, which is almost your entire life. On average, doctors make a yearly salary of $189,000. The average physician unemployment rate is only 0.7%. This means that almost all doctors are lifelong learners because they don’t pass their MOC they become uncertified to be a doctor. If you can learn like a doctor for the rest of your life, you can have one of the most prestigious jobs in the world.

The last thing I am going to talk about is being equipped with skills for life. These skills are essential for becoming a successful person.  Many professional jobs require you to have certain skills to become successful. If you don’t have any special skills; you might end up not getting the job you want. You may work at McDonald's or maybe be homeless without these skills. I once saw a homeless man lying on the street next to Kroger begging for money. He looked to me and said, “You have any money for me, kid?” I looked at him and continued to walk into the Kroger. When I came back out the man was crying. He looked at me again and said, “Listen, don’t grow up like me. Do something that you're skilled at. Do something that will make you some money, so you don’t end up like me okay.” I looked at him and thought about what he said. Having skills will help you make money and be successful. To help this homeless man out, you should get skilled at something and keep doing it for the rest of your life so you can become successful.

These three things have been proven time and time again to help people become successful in what they want to do. The choice of doing one, or maybe even all these things, can help you do what you want to do in life. You should consider doing things to help improve your life and maybe the lives of others around you. I recommend you follow these steps to achieve what you want in the future. Thank you for hearing what I have to say and goodbye!
