Raina Telgemeier has written many books and is such an amazing author. All her books have been #1 New York Times bestsellers. “Raina’s accolades include three Eisner Awards, a Boston Globe-Horn Book Honor, a Stonewall Honor, and many Best-of and Notables lists.” Raina Telgemeier has written a total of 10 books. That is including her newest 2, Guts and Share Your Smile! The titles of the 10 books that Raina Telgemeier has written are, Smile, Sisters, Guts, Drama, Ghosts, Share Your Smile, and The Baby-Sitters Club Series.

The book Smile is an amazing story of Raina’s journey with all of her dental drama. Here is a quick and small summary of the book Smile. “Raina just wants to be a normal sixth grader. But one night after Girl Scouts she trips and falls, severely injuring her two front teeth, and what follows is a long and frustrating journey with on-again, off-again braces, surgery, embarrassing headgear, and even a retainer with fake teeth attached. And on top of all that, there’s still more to deal with: a major earthquake, boy confusion, and friends who turn out to be not so friendly. This coming-of-age true story is sure to resonate with anyone who has ever been in middle school, and especially those who have ever had a bit of their own dental drama.”

Also, the book Sisters is a great story of Raina and how her and her sister struggle to get along. Here is a small summary of what Sisters is about. “Raina can’t wait to be a big sister. But once Amara is born, things aren’t quite how she expected them to be. Amara is cute, but she’s also a cranky, grouchy baby, and mostly prefers to play by herself. Their relationship doesn’t improve much over the years, but when a baby brother enters the picture and later, when something doesn’t seem right between their parents, they realize they must figure out how to get along. They are sisters, after all. Raina uses her signature humor and charm in both present-day narrative and perfectly placed flashbacks to tell the story of her relationship with her sister, which unfolds during the course of a road trip from their home in San Francisco to a family reunion in Colorado.”

Another, book by Raina Telgemeier is Guts. Guts is one of her newest books. Here is a small summary of Guts. “Raina wakes up one night with a terrible upset stomach. Her mom has one, too, so it’s probably just a bug. Raina eventually returns to school, where she’s dealing with the usual highs and lows: friends, not-friends, and classmates who think the school year is just one long gross-out session. It soon becomes clear that Raina’s tummy trouble isn’t going away...and it coincides with her worries about food, school, and changing friendships. What’s going on? Raina Telgemeier once again brings us a thoughtful, charming, and funny true story about growing up and gathering the courage to face — and conquer — her fears.”

The Baby-Sitters Club series has 4 books, Kristy’s Great Idea (#1), The Truth About Stacey (#2), Mary Anne Saves The Day (#3), and Claudia And Mean Janine (#4). The cool thing about The Baby-Sitters Club series is that Raina Telgemeier took the original “The Baby-Sitters Club” books by Ann M. Martin, and turned them into graphic novels. Here is a quick summary of the first book, Kristy’s Great Idea. “Kristy, Mary Anne, Claudia, and Stacey are best friends and founding members of The Baby-sitters Club. Whatever comes up — cranky toddlers, huge dogs, scary neighbors, prank calls — you can count on them to save the day. Baby-sitting isn't always easy, and neither is dealing with strict parents, new families, fashion emergencies, and mysterious secrets. But no matter what, the BSC have what they need most: friendship.”

Raina Telgemeier was born on May 26, 1977, in San Francisco. Raina has 2 younger siblings. Her sister’s name is Amara Telgemeier, and her brother’s name is Will Telgemeier. In her pre-teen years she suffered a serious mouth injury that required years of dental and orthodontic drama to fix. (The whole story is described in one of her books… Smile.) Raina published her first book on February 1, 2010. All her books that she has written are graphic novels.
