1.2 Million  students dropout of high school just in the United States. 2.5% fail to graduate on time. School drop outs need more education on what’s going to happen to them after they drop out. 

High school dropout rates have been decreasing the past couple of years. Some dropout due to family income. 9.2% of school dropouts because their family has a low income so they drop out to try and support their family. Also race has a huge effect on school dropout 10. 11% native Americans drop out of high school due to family problems or their check they get before they graduate thinking they don’t need a highschool diploma. 7.9 hasapnic,5.7% black and 4.7% white tend to drop out. Age also has a large effect on school dropouts. 6.2% 15-16 year olds drop out of school. 19.5% of 20-24 year olds tend to drop out because they are just sick of school and just don't want to do it anymore. That’s just a little information on why students dropout of high school. 

Large effects on why Students drop most students say classes are boring and irrelevant. But that’s not all some students drop out because they get so behind when they miss school. Things that lead up to students dropping out is, students start to skip classes, start to get in trouble, parents aren’t supported by students and follow their siblings footsteps. In 2014-2015 high school graduation rates. In the 2014-2015 school year the only school that had 90% or more was Iowa 70% or lower was DC abs NM.

Can a high school dropout be successful? Well sure they can, some of the most famous people in the world are high school dropouts. 1.2 Million students dropout of high school in the U.S! If we want students to be educated and get good jobs, I think we need to have school programs and make them more interesting for students so they stay in school! Some students have to miss school for important events, culture, and even family problems! If that’s the case I think that there schools be a program to help them or an online school on the go program so that students don’t have to worry about what’s going and what they are missing because they will do it with them all just online! Therefore we need to help school dropout rates.
