Building the southern border wall will help create jobs and employ U.S citizens. It is estimated that between 21,200 and 25,000 jobs within a couple years (Bahler). The wall will help concrete/cement workers get jobs, because the wall is supposed to be built from concrete. There is supposed to be thousands of job opportunities opening up. Trump predicts that the wall will only take two years, but other celebrities disagree. “$1 billion to construct just 53 miles of fencing, sensors, and radar) a technological solution would likely cost a fraction of what a solid barrier would” (Sisson). Trump says the wall will take a couple years to build so that will help Americans make money until the wall is built.

The border wall will help on security and defense. Building the wall will help keep Americans safe by keeping potential dangerous illegal immigrants out of our country. Other past walls in Israel were 99.9% successful, another wall that was successful is the Spanish wall. In 2014, two thousand and one hundred illegal immigrants entered Spain successfully, but in 2015 when the wall was built, the number shrunk down to only 100 people (Flores).

In conclusion, building the Southern border wall will help American be more secure and have a better defense system in place, it will create jobs and help Americans save money. Each year every illegal immigrant is a financial drain of $54,596. It is estimated that between 21,200 and 25,000 jobs will be created in a couple years. It is proven that other border walls were successful. The Israel wall was 99.9% successful, another successful border wall was the Spanish wall which stopped 2,000 from entering their country. I think that the Southern border wall will be a great benefit to our country.
