Why Should Animals Suffer From Tests That We Make? Animal Right Essay Example

About 100 million animals are killed in the U.S. for laboratory research, and the  majority doesn't care. Animal testing shouldn’t be used because there are new testing methods that can replace the need for animals. Another reason animal testing shouldn’t be used is because the majority of the time when people do get results from animal tests they are not reliable for humans.  Also animal testing costs more than alternative methods.  The point is that animal testing should not be used anymore because people can do other things besides using animals.  Animals are dying from this research, people can use cells instead of animals, sometimes what is safe for animals is not safe for humans, animal testing costs more money than if people use alternative methods.

New testing methods now exist that can replace the need for animals. According to Crueltyfreeinternational.org, “almost every type of human and animal cell can be grown in the laboratory. Scientists have even managed to coax cells to grow into 3D structures, such as miniature human organs, which can provide a more realistic way to test new therapies.”   This evidence shows people don't need to use animals for testing because people can now use cells. According to Crueltyfreeinternational.org, “both healthy and diseased tissues donated from human volunteers can provide a more relevant way of studying human biology and disease than animal testing.”  This evidence shows that people don't need to waste animals lives because people can use human tissues donated my human volunteers instead of using animals and they will provide more relevant results.  People do not need to use animals for testing, by using human cells, and tissue it provides more relevant results, another fact about why animal testing is not good is  that is is ineffective.

The use of animals in experiments is majority of the time ineffective. According to hdi.org animal testing, “provides little understanding of how chemicals behave in the body, and in many cases do not correctly predict real-world human reactions”  This evidence shows that animal testing isn’t even worth it because it does not correctly predict real world human reactions. According to Crueltyfreeinternational.org, “the harmful use of animals in experiments is not only cruel but also often ineffective. Animals do not get many of the human diseases that people do.” This evidence shows that animal testing is most often ineffective because animals do not get many of the diseases that humans do.  People should not be using animals for tests because it is very often ineffective, another fact about why animal testing is not good is that animal testing is very expensive.

Animal tests are more expensive than alternative methods and are a waste of government research money.  According to change.org, “animal testing in America is expensive-most of it can be cut including alternative methods used.” This evidence shows that money is being wasted for animal testing because alternative methods used could cause animals not to be killed for research and to not use as much money for research.  According to dobienews.scuc, “Animal testing is a waste of money, time and resources that could have been spent on human relevant research.” This evidence shows money is being wasted for animal testing because the results from animal testing isn’t always relevant.  People should not use animals for tests because it is a waste of money when there are cheaper alternatives out there.
